Single Vehicle Collision in Happy Valley-Goose Bay
September 05, 2019

On August 11th, 2019, RCMP Happy Valley – Goose Bay along with the RCMP Labrador District General Investigation Section, RCMP Police Dog Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Services entered into an investigation of a single vehicle collision. As a result of the investigation, a large quantity of cocaine and money was seized. The matter still remains under investigation.

Theft in St. Marys
September 05, 2019

The Ferryland RCMP is seeking the publics assistance regarding the theft in St. Marys.

Sometime between 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13th and 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14th, someone stole an Acer Laptop and Epson Projector from a vehicle parked in a residential driveway located on Gulch Road in St. Mary's, NL.  These items were in a large grey multi purpose bag.

Theft of Canoe in Cape Broyle

The Ferryland RCMP received a complaint regarding the theft of a canoe from a cabin in Cape Broyle.  The canoe has been missing since mid June, 2019.  An extensive search for the canoe has been conducted for the past 2 months.  The canoe is a 16-foot red fibreglass canoe with a faded and scratched up bottom.

Minto Brook Break and Enters

The RCMP is seeking the publics assistance in locating the person(s) responsible for the break and enter into camper's in the Minto Brook area just outside of Gambo, NL.

On July 17, 2019 the Glovertown Det. of the RCMP received a complaint of two camper trailers parked in the area being broken into and several items including tools and gaming electronics stolen.

Theft of Liquor from Crocker's Esso, in Hearts Delight
July 22, 2019

Sometime between 11:30pm and Midnight on January 8th 2019, an unknown male smashed the entrance door windows with a metal Baseball bat. Camera footage reviled that the male entered and stole approximately $750.00 of Lambs Rum which included 1 Texas Mickey and 7 60oz bottles. The male was approx. 5'8" wearing a green/grey hoodie, navy pants, black ski mask/hat over his face and white gloves. The male then left through the broken glass door and drove off in what appeared to be a sedan and headed in the direction of the Whitbourne area. Stolen STIHL R50 Grass Trimmer
July 05, 2019

On May 11th, 2019 Ferryland RCMP received a complaint of a break and enter in Riverhead. A shed was broken into and a Stihl R50 whipper snipper was stolen. (similar model pictured below). It is believed the whipper snipper was stolen sometime between April 11th and May 11th.

Glovertown RCMP investigates attempted break and enter at Robin’s Donuts/Irving gas station
July 03, 2019

At approximately 3:30 a.m. on July 1, 2019,  Glovertown RCMP responded to a report of an attempted break and enter at Robin’s Donuts/Irving gas station.

 

Three masked suspects attempted to gain entry through the drive-thru window. Although the business was closed during the attempted break-in, there were night shift employees present who may have startled the suspects and they ran off on foot. 

 

The investigation is ongoing.

Theft of antique firearms at Conception Bay Museum; RCMP appeals to public for return of items.
July 03, 2019

On June 10th, the Conception Bay Museum, in Harbour Grace, discovered antique firearms were missing since a reported break and enter into the museum that occurred back in March.

 

These antiques, which are family heirlooms, were on loan to the museum and have great historical and sentimental value.

 

The missing items include two dueling pistols, which were manufactured between 1813-1860, a Colt revolver, manufactured in 1855, and a WWI vintage flare gun.

Theft of Ski Doo in Catalina
June 25, 2019

The Bonavista RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in solving a theft in Catalina, Newfoundland and Labrador

The incident occurred between Thursday May 17th, 2019 and Monday May 20th, 2019. A 2014 BRP Ski Doo MXZ XRS 800R E-tec was taken from a garage in the Catalina area. The skidoo is yellow and black, short track, yellow tunnel, marbled yellow/black skis and has handlebar risers.

RNC Request Assistance in Armed Robbery Investigation
April 17, 2019

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit is seeking the public’s assistance identifying the man responsible for a recent armed robbery in St. John’s.

On Thursday, April 4, 2019, shortly before 4:00 am, officers with RNC’s Operational Patrol Services Division and Police Dog Services responded to a service station on Newfoundland Drive in St. John’s in relation to a report of an armed robbery. Responding officers were informed that a man, armed with a weapon, demanded cash from staff. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival with an undisclosed quantity of cash.

The suspect is male, wearing eye glasses and a green winter jacket with fur on the hood. Once inside the business he pulled a mask upon his face. The suspect is described as skinny, approximately six feet tall, and believed to be in his twenties.  The RNC General Investigation Unit is asking that is anyone can identify the suspect to please contact the RNC.
