Theft from Canada Post Mailboxes

On Saturday, August 22nd at 2:58 PM, two males were seen stealing the contents of the mailboxes on Conception Bay Highway in Holyrood, near Green Acres road.The suspects arrived in a beige Nissan Altima. The passenger got out of the vehicle, used a crow bar to pry open the mailboxes and handed the contents to the driver who remained in the vehicle.Both men are in their 20’s, have slim builds and both have tattoos. The driver was wearing a black and white patterned shirt, a dark cap and had a tattoo near his eye. The passenger had short dark hair and wore white pants.The investigation is ongoing and police are asking anyone with any information to contact Holyrood RCMP at 709-229-3892.

Partially Constructed Home Vandalized in Witless Bay

Sometime between the evening of August 14th and the early morning hours of August 15th, a property on White’s Rd in Witless Bay was vandalized. A person or persons approached a home that is under construction on the property and smashed all of the windows.

Ferryland RCMP ask residents in the area to contact them if they saw or heard anything suspicious. Any information you may have about this incident can be reported to the Ferryland RCMP at 709-432-2440.

Residential Theft in Witless Bay

On Friday, August 14th at 12:05 am, a female was observed on security footage stealing a wooden wishing well filled with dirt and a plant.  She left in what appears to be an older model Grey Equinox.  A blue 4 door automobile was following behind and may be known to each other.

Break and Enter at the Harbour Authority in Renews

On August 18th, it was discovered that there was a break and enter at the Harbour Authority’s building located on Wharf Road in Renews.  

The door was pried open with a crow bar however nothing was stolen. It is unknown when this took place.

LAKE was last seen in St. John’s on Wednesday, June 7, 2017. She is described as being 5’8” and 110-120lbs with light brown hair. LAKE was last seen wearing a grey hooded parka with a pink hoody and pink and white plaid shirt and black pants and glasses. Video stills show Lake getting into a black GMC pickup truck on Michener Avenue near her home, at exactly 7:54 p.m. NT on June 7, 2017.

Investigators with RNC’s Major Crime Unit believe the circumstances around Cortney LAKE’s disappearance to be suspicious in nature. We have serious concerns for LAKE at this point in this investigation and are urging the public to come forward with any information they may have. The RNC will also be releasing this information to the public on social media using the hashtag #HelpFindCortney.

RCMP searching for a missing 56 year old woman from Carbonear

The Trinity Conception RCMP are requesting assistance from the public in locating a missing woman from the Carbonear area. 56 year old Christine CRUMMEY was last seen leaving her vehicle at around 1 pm on Saturday August 15th in the area of Long Hills and Hoyle’s Road, Carbonear. RCMP Police Dog Service, Avalon North Wolverines Ground Search and Rescue along with the assistance of air support provided by Fire and Emergency Services are continuing to search the area in hopes of locating Mrs. CRUMMEY.

Mrs. CRUMMEY is described as having blonde/grey shoulder length hair and weighing 175 lbs. A current clothing description could not be obtained. (Photo Attached)
